A lightweight crank pulley is a great way to release some extra horsepower from your vehicle!  Factory cast iron crank pullies are inefficient and take horsepower from the engine in order to get them spinning.  The additional mass on the crank shaft slows down engine RPM and robs horsepower.  By replacing the crank pulley with a lightweight aluminum pulley you are allowing the engine to accelerate easily and free up some horsepower!
