Heat extractor fiberglass hood for 2015-2017 Ford Mustang
Anderson Composites VIP carbon fiber parts are manufactured by spraying a coat of resin on the mold, sheets of carbon fiber fabric are laid out across the mold and then a final coat of resin is applied on the fabric before being placed inside a vacuum sealed bag to cure (provides an excellent fabric-to-resin ratio). Once cured, the part is removed from the mold, trimmed and a final coat of gel coat applied and polished to protect the surface and increase the high luster finish. No additional clear coat is required.
Fiberglass “skeleton” bonded to underside of fiberglass hood for strength and support (matte black enamel finish)
Requires normal pre paint prep; including sanding and primer. Occasional surface blemishes may be present as a result of the manufacturing process. These blemishes are removed during the normal sanding and preparation process required when painting any vehicle body component.
Mounts with OE hardware – Requires normal pre paint prep; including sanding and primer. Occasional surface blemishes may be present as a result of the manufacturing process. Requires hood pins for safety reasons
Do not install gas hood shocks, dampers, or struts
Requires the use of a heat shield
